Merrill Airdyne dryer designs are used in the manufacture of all dryers sold with SPM conventional equipment. Single pass, top & bottom regulated air flow. Modular construction can incorporate 2 to 7 modules. The temperature and air flow of each of 9 m zones are individually controlled. All controls are accessible via the “Touch screen” at the operator console.
The Merrill Airdyne dryers are supplied with the SPM exhaust heat recovery systems which make them the most energy efficient drying solutions available. Heated white water is circulating in a closed circuit from and to the storage tanks. Depending on raw material and additives Gas consumption can be as low as 2,2 kW per kg of dried paper, typical Gas consumption would average 2.5 kW per kg of paper.
